FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT TRAINING

Introduction to Budgets & Cash Flows –
How to prepare a small budget; what are overheads and direct costs; how a cash flow work.

Practical Bookkeeping – Setting up and running a manual bookkeeping system,; have more control over your bank account; feel more confident about your bookkeeping skills.

Bank Reconciliation – Participants will be able to checks the accuracy of the cash book entries and bank statements.

Petty Cash – Using imprest system, participants will be able to account for cash income; choose column heading for expenditure; apply controls to prevent fraud.

End of Year Accounts (Final Accounts) – Participants will be able to turn receipts and payments account into an income and expenditure account by bringing in accruals, creditors, debtors and prepayments; analyse use of restricted funds, producing a balance sheet, including depreciation of fixed assets.

Management Accounts – Participants will be able to produce receipts and payments account and a statement of current checks the accuracy of the cash book entries and bank statements.

Full Cost Recovery – Participants will learn the real cost of a project, including overheads and be able to make better decisions, better use of resources and be more focused.

SORP Made Simple – Participants will learn about SORP, its development and its underlying principles; Small charities concessions; Trustees Annual Reports and Statement of Financial Activities (SOFA).

Financial Controls – Participants will be able to understand the main purposes of financial control procedures; design appropriate financial controls policies and procedures.
